Safety Audit

A safety audit aims to analyse the safety gaps and opportunities that exist in Chinatown. This may include recommending Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) strategies for businesses and community members.

Motion Lights

To improve the visibility and deter crime in some of the darker areas in Chinatown, we plan to install motion lights with partnering businesses. If you would like a motion light installed for your business please let us know by emailing Mark.Davis@REACHEdmonton.ca

Volunteer Database

We are working with Chinatown groups to develop a community of volunteers to assist the safety council with community patrols, litter clean up and 311 safety reporting. If you would like to sign up as a volunteer please apply here.

Building Bridges

The Chinatown Safety Council aims to build and foster positive relationships between business, social agencies and the clients they serve. Through collaboration we hope to develop workshops, training opportunities and resources to better equip, educate and support positive relationships between businesses and social agencies in the area.
